CATTLE parades, craft shows, sheep shearing and farm life demonstrations were just some of the attractions on show at this year's annual Tocal Field Days.

One family-run business, Medowie Macadamias, proved to be a popular attraction.

After purchasing a farm with 100 mature macadamia trees six years ago, two families developed a thriving business.

This year marked their third at the Tocal Field Days and again proved very successful.

As well as selling fresh nuts, they manufacture a wide variety of macadamia products, including flavoured macadamias, cooking and salad oils, jams, sauces, spreads, toppings, flavoured coffees, honeys, mustards and a range of confectionery.

The versatility of the macadamia is also displayed in a range of cosmetics including lip balms, skin moisturisers and soaps.

Medowie Macadamias sell directly from their farm, seven days a week, at 672 Medowie Road, Medowie.
